Sometimes, I'm not quite ready to use a specific technique in professional work, or I might not know exactly when to apply it. However, I'm curious about how it works and whether I can master it. So, I enjoy doing personal projects. This allows me to keep my skills fresh on one hand, and to experiment with new techniques on the other. Here are some of the results.
I've been a fan of the Art Deco style for some time now. I've noticed many artists using this style with a modern twist in their illustrations, which inspired me to create a piece of game fan art that experiments with this approach.
A friend from my D&D group asked me to help design a map, something I hadn't done before. After some research, here's what I came up with! The map layout was designed by Izzy@chrysokitty, and I digitally hand-drew the rest of the map elements.
Another thing I tried for my D&D hobby was drawing some game quest items. I had a lot of fun with it!
